Dickson Lubega alias Madrat of the renowned Madrat and Chiko Comedy Group says he has for long been betrayed by his Christian friends hence taking up a strong decision of converting to Islam.
The development comes after the pin sized comedian took some time off his busy comedy schedule in Zanzibar to take the Shahada in front of Muslim clerics as witnesses thereby proclaiming new faith as a Muslim.
Apart from always being tempted into boozing all day long, Madrat says his Christian friends have always been forsaking him during the bad times when he needed them.
The comedian has further opened up how his Muslim comrades surprisingly have always been throwing a body over for him with financial help and kind gestures till then ever since the demise of his dad.
Comrades like Juma, as resident of Mukono is the reason as to why he has converted to Islam.
Madrat joins the likes of musicians Fred Ssebaale, Geosteady, Vincent Ssegawa song others who concerted to the Islamic faith.
We are yet to ascertain his Muslim name once Madrat issues an official statement.
