The 2022 Masaza Cup organizing committee has issued punishments to teams involved in the chaos in the semifinals return leg match played in Kasaana Luweero between Buddu and Bulemeezi a fortnight ago.
In the match, Bulemeezi beat Buddu 2:1 but the latter advanced to the finals on a 2:2 aggregate score having won 1:0 at Masaka Recreation Ground a week before the return leg.
The committee’s ruling pins the home side (Bulemeezi) for going unruly and failing to control the home crowd who ran wild after conceding a goal and eventually missed out on the finals, for this Bulemeezi have banned from this year’s tournament.

Bulemeezi was docked 2 points and will start the next tournament with a negative of two points and goals plus hosting the opening three matches of the next tournament on a neutral ground.
The chaos and strikes on the match day suffocated many lives and left many people hospitalized, on that note therefore, the team was fined 5MUgx with Ssesaazi Oscar and two fellow players banned for two years.
