His Majesty the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has graced the opening match ceremonies of the Bika By’Abaganda tournament played in his county of Bulemeezi at Kasaana Play ground in Luweero District.
His Majesty the Kabaka of Buganda reached Kasaana Play ground at 2:40pm and was welcomed and received by Professor Twaha Kigongo Kawaase, the 1st Deputy prime minister and also Minister for administration and ICT in Buganda Kingdom.
The Mbwa clan shockingly lost the opening match to Ngo with a 4:2 score despite playing a two-all draw at halftime. The match officiated by Alex Wasswa assisted by Mafumu Mutafa and Mugerwa Richard as the first and second assistant referees respectively whereas Sheikh Matovu Sula was the match commissioner.
The match witnessed a massive crowd with lots of local government leaders at different levels and the Buganda government leaders.
Minister Kawaase urged the spectators at the match to now turn the attention to Kabaka’s Birthday run slated to take place on 3rd July 2022 and turn up in large numbers as on the day.
