"Sompino" singer, Mudra D' Viral has opened up about how he is eyeing a parliamentary seat in the upcoming 2026 general elections, and his friend, TikToker Winnie Wa Mummy, spilled the tea on Spark TV during an exclusive interview.

According to Winnie, Mudra is all set to contest for the MP seat in Kawempe, his hometown, and his friends have already started referring to him as "Honorable." Talk about a major title change! “Mudra is going to contest as an MP in Kawempe in 2026. We even already call him Honorable,” she said.

Mudra, known for his proud Kawempe roots, has made no secret of his love for his hometown. Though the singer himself hasn’t publicly confirmed his political plans yet, the whispers of his candidacy are certainly picking up steam.

Should he go ahead with this political move, Mudra might find himself up against the current MP of Kawempe South, Hon. Kazibwe Bashir.

And if we’re placing bets, Mudra is likely to run under the National Unity Platform (NUP), a party that many entertainers have embraced for its youth and people-centric ideals. Mudra’s music career may soon take a back seat to his political ambitions, as other artists like Nina Roz have already shown interest in joining the race.

If Mudra does decide to trade the microphone for a political podium, Kawempe is in for a wild ride. Will he become the next "Honorable" from the area? We’ll be watching closely!
