In his first match as SC Villa coach, Petros Koukouras a Greece international got the Joggos their first win in the first match of the season played at Kavumba Recreation Grounds in Wakiso. Thanks to an 83rd minute goal from Saddam Masereka.
Kenneth Ssemakula was named man of the match for his wonderful display in the match.

The win for Mbarara City FC maintained a perfect start performance at home for the Mbarara side, winning both of their matches at home thus far.
It also meant City has not lost a match in which Henry Kitegenyi has scored and that Arua Coach Mbabazi Livingston has not won against a side he coached some time back.
The match binded two coaches facing former pay masters with Hussein Mbalangu at Mbarara City facing Arua Hills FC, a side he helped gain promotion to a maiden Premier League season.
