News reaching our desk indicate how Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic 'Micho' has been sentenced to a 3 years imprisonment and suspended for five years as reported by Riaan Marais.

Micho's legal team has however been granted space for filing an application for appeal against the conviction.

In the court in Gqeberha Regional Court in South Africa, the former SC Villa and Zambian national team tactician was found guilty of two cases of sex assault.

"Former Zambian national soccer coach Milutin Sredojevic leaving court after being convicted on two counts of sexual assault. He was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment, suspended for 5 years. His legal team was granted leave to appeal the conviction," reports Riaan Marais.

Micho is remembered for having helped the Uganda Cranes qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, the first since 1978.

He also guided SC Villa to their 16th league title of the Uganda Premier League and the club's last since then.

Micho's legal team has however been granted space for filing an application for appeal against the conviction.
