On Thursday 29th July, Express FC head coach Wasswa Bbosa named his squad to compete in the CECAFA Club Championship.

The contingent flee Uganda at 2pm and headed to Dar es Salaam where the championship is going to be staged from 1st August -15 August,2021

The contingent included new signing and winger Joseph Akandwanaho, Murushid Jjuuko who has just had his contract extended at the Club plus new arrival and goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa.

Meanwhile, Coach Wasswa Bbosa named Abel Eturude as the new club assistant captain replacing goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga who recently called it quits at the Seven time Uganda Premier League champions.

Express FC is pooled in group A along with Young Africans of Tanzania, and Malawi's Nyasa Big Bullets FC. Express FC opens with a fixture against Young Africans on Monday 2nd August,2021 before playing Nyasa Big Bullets FC four days later day.
