Singer Rema Namakula has penned down an emotional letter to all teachers in Uganda while celebrating their day, she has gone emotional as fans begged her to open up her own school.

Rema Namakula was joining people from allover the world to celebrate the World Teachers Day so she went to her social media and posted a message to her fans, most so to the teachers.

" Most of us are products of our best teachers who go the extra mile to make us who we are. Today, I would like to honour all the teachers who have been there for our children and ensured that they continued learning virtually even when we were under lockdown. You will forever be treasured. Let's all take this opportunity to honour #ThatOneTeacher who has been their for you or your child during this pandemic. I wish you all a Happy World Teacher's Day. #UGTeachersDay @COVIDHQAfrica. "- she posted.

Rema, an old student of St. Balikuddembe senior school where she started her music journey, said that she turned into the woman she is now because of the  great work done by her teachers.
