The fifth edition of the annual Ekkula Tourism Awards will take place on March 27, 2020, at Sheraton Kampala Hotel. With just few weeks left to the awards
and will be running under the theme “Celebrating Tourism Investments and Jobs for a better future.”
According to Bismarck Moses Amumpaire, the Coordinator of the Ekkula Tourism Awards, the event is meant to appreciate the efforts of the people that promote tourism in Uganda.
“The Ekkula Pearl of Africa Tourism Awards are meant to recognize and appreciate the work of all those in the tourism industry,” he said.
Some of the categories to be awarded include; Exceptional fast foods restaurant, best Ugandan cuisines restaurant, best luxury business hotel, best Eco safari lodge and outstanding new hotel of the year.
Other categories include; best airline of the year, exceptional tour and travel company, young achiever of the year, tourism ambassador of the year and life time achiever of the year among others.
