After almost five months of maternity leave in Canada where she went to deliver from, Ugandan musician Sheebah Karungi has officially returned home, bringing her baby Amir along for his first experience in Uganda.
Sheebah had traveled to Canada in November 2024 to prepare for childbirth and take time off after a hectic year, which included her massive Lugogo Cricket Oval concert.
Before leaving Canada, Sheebah bid farewell to her friends and family, expressing gratitude for the incredible experience of becoming a mother.
“Canada, you have been amazing to me. Even in the middle of snowstorms, we were happy to call you home. This is my first time traveling as a mom, and I’m beyond blessed to have the best little travel buddy for life.”
She also shared that baby Amir handled his first flight like a champ and is ready to embrace Uganda’s sunshine and dust.
As Sheebah lands back in Uganda, her Sheebaholics are eager to see if she will pick up where she left off. Known for her chart-topping hits like “Nkwatako,” “Nakyuka,” “Enyanda,” and “Tevunya,” her return to the music scene is highly anticipated.
The question now is—what’s next for the Queen of Karma?
