Derick Kasasa, popularly known as Derick Events, one of the silent engines behind Uganda’s entertainment scene for over 13 years of experience, working with top artists and organized major events has secured Solid Band a major performance at this year’s Ugandan Festival UK, a star-studded event also featuring Fred Ssebata, King Saha, and Nandor Love.
Derick made his mark in 2013 as one of the pioneers of the HiPipo Music Awards, helping turn it into a key platform for recognizing and promoting musical talent across East Africa.
While at HiPipo, he also played a major role in launching tech initiatives like 40 Days 40 FinTechs and Women in FinTech, supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation UK.
