Pastor Samuel Kakande of Kakande Ministries and the Synagogue Church of All Nationa has reignited controversy after asking his followers to pay a hefty sum of $300 (equivalent to 1,000,000 Ugandan Shillings) in exchange for him to download their dreams, pray for them until they become a reality.
The Prophet's call was captured in a circulating online video that has since gone viral, where he instructed congregants to submit their dreams as prayer requests along with the substantial payment.
This isn't the first time Pastor Kakande has solicited monetary contributions for spiritual benefits. He previously made headlines for selling "holy rice" at 50,000 Ugandan Shillings, claiming it could amplify blessings when sprinkled on regular rice.
However, these practices have faced staunch criticism from both the public and fellow pastors, notably within the National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches (NFBAPC).
Seven years ago, the NFBAPC urged governmental intervention to investigate and halt Kakande's activities, alongside other pastors like Augustine Yiga and Brother Ronnie Makabai, citing concerns of distorted biblical teachings.
Apostle John Bunjo, a prominent member of the NFBAPC, reiterated their stance during a fellowship and crusade at Christian Life Church in Makerere, attended by over 5000 individuals.
