Renowned Ugandan singer Maro, born Ronald Magada, has taken to social media to express his frustration and anger over a money scam by the Ava Dance Team, a group based in Rwanda that stole his hard-earned money and never delivered.
Maro, known for hits that resonate across East Africa, revealed that he had enlisted the services of Ava Dance Team for a music project.
Angry Maro took to his Twitter handle to issue a stern warning about the unscrupulous practices of Ava Dance Team.
"ATTENTION ARTISTES: Scammer Alert There is a Dance group based in Rwanda that scams Artistes in need of dance videos! They seem and look legit until you pay them! They are called "Ava Dance Team" on IG and Tiktok! Victims are Me and @JWats__as far is I know! @Rwandapolice'- he tweeted.
Despite having made a payment for their services, the dance group allegedly failed to uphold their end of the bargain, leaving Maro and his project high and dry.
To add salt to the wound, it appears Maro isn't the sole victim in this dance debacle. Fellow artist J Wats has also reportedly fallen prey to the cunning tactics of Ava Dance Team, raising concerns about the group's credibility and professional conduct.
