Ugandan socialite Hajat Kulthum Nabunya's marriage has taken an unexpected turn after her husband Akram Gumisiriza chewing a sumbie Vendor he picked up on Salaama Road and refusing to pay, instead pulled out a panga.
It all started innocently enough when Akram picked up a young lady from Salaama Road, not anticipating the rollercoaster that would follow.
This amorous adventure took a dramatic turn when the lady, after a rendezvous at Akram's home, demanded a cool 300,000 Ugandan Shillings in exchange for her company. However, Akram had other ideas.
With a flair for the dramatic, Akram pulled out a panga, which is not exactly a romantic prop, and chased the lady away. She swiftly sought justice and made a beeline for Katwe Police Station, filing a report.
In a true twist of fate, after a day-long game of hide-and-seek, the long arm of the law nabbed Akram. But here's where it gets even more interesting. The lady, perhaps emboldened by her unexpected adventure, demanded a whopping 3 million Ugandan Shillings as compensation for her troubles.
Unable to cough up the cash, Akram found himself trading a cozy bed for cold steel bars. Meanwhile, Kulthum, his newlywed wife, is out of the country, blissfully unaware of the melodrama her husband finds himself entangled in.
Hajat Kulthum's husband Akram Gumisiriza is making news headlines for all the bad reasons.
