Trying to a find a solution for the terrible traffic jam at Entebbe International Airport as the expansion nears completion, the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority has announced the relocation of the security check point, from the present position to a new location near the Protea Hotel.
Through their social media platforms, the CAA highlighted the need to observe the 30 Km/h speed limit when approaching the new check point.
This new directive is taking effect today 25th September 2023.
No reason has been given in the notice but according to people who always suffer in the traffic jam, it is speculated that this new move is to help as it also aims at strengthening the security.
