Match Day 9 of the Star Times Uganda Premier League continued on Tuesday with five fixtures witnessing a mouth-watering 17 goals hitting the back of the net.
Most eye-catching was the Express FC-Mbarara City FC dwell played at Wankulukuku stadium that saw the former win 2:0. Thanks to goals from from Eric Kambale 25' and Godfrey Lwesibaawa 86' that gave the defending champions a well deserved win.
The result left Express FC sixth on the table with 15 points whereas Mbarara City are nineth with 10.
Another entertaining clash was at Njeru Technical Center with hosts SC Villa squandering the lead twice to draw 2:2 with the tax Collectors, URA FC. The record champions were ahead as early as in the 3rd minute when Sadam Masereka slotted past URA's goalkeeper Hannington Ssebwalunyo, but URA FC reacted faster when Vianney Ssekajugo equalized 13 minutes later.
Travis Mutyaba scored the second in 43rd minute but Cromwell Rwothomio gave the Sam Timbe coached side parity in the 88th minute to salvage a point for the tax collectors.
URA FC are currently 8th on the table, 12 points adrift of leaders KCCA FC though with two matches in hand whilst Villa stand 12th on 8 points, three above relagation but also have two matches in hand.
In the Jinja derby played between Bul FC and Busoga United at Kyabazinga stadium, Bugembe the former Walloped the latter 5:0 with a hat-trick from Ibrahim Nsimbe 23', 28', 54', and the other two from Musa Esenu 44', and Richard Wandyaka in the 59th minute.
