Many Ugandan celebrities that survived Covid 19 have come out and told their stories but never had we come accross one that is so heartbreaking like that of TV West presenter Ritah Tumuhimbise who got sick while heavily pregnant.

Ritah is a Ugandan TV Presenter on TV West and she does a show called "Sisimuka" and she is also an Online content creator under her YouTube Channel called The Cooking Nurse, but the past few weeks have been a near death experience for her.

Being a mother of a beautiful son, the Mbarara based Vision Group employee went through an experience no mother or pregnant woman deserves to ever go through, the frasturation of hospitals and being sick without anyone to help.

Through her YouTube channel, Ritah shared her story with the world narrating how it all started when she got simple flu and cough which later on led to fevers and loss of smell.

"I got sick with flu and cough but thought I could treat myself from home, whe I lost my sense of smell and taste i started getting worried until a friend encouraged me to go to the hospital, but once I reached Mbarara Refferal Hospital the doctors were rude and unattending until I lost my breath and fainted. One person rushed to me and admitted me, I was put on oxygen but everytime i went off to ease my self I easily lost my breath"- Ritah partially narrates.

After testing for Covid 19, Ritah was released from the hospital before knowing her results and was sent back home, a few days later the sickness got once and everytime she called the hospital to ask about her results no one answered, right until they sent her wrong results showing she was negative yet in the process she was dangering her family.

"After persisting the hospital sent me the test results which showed that I was Negative but when I checked the date it was the wrong date of the test, so i got concerned and frasturated asking them for my real results, I did not know what to do as I was so sick, not even my neighboring doctors could help"- She continues to narrate.
