Next Media Management has reportedly suspended Zambaali Bulasio Mukasa from his role at NBS TV after his public involvement in National Unity Platform (NUP) politics.
Mukasa, who recently declared his interest in contesting for the Nansana Municipality MP seat under NUP, was allegedly removed from the "Barometer" political show following his appearance at a rally in Kawempe, where he praised Bobi Wine in front of a large crowd. His absence from the program was confirmed when he was replaced by Kungu in a recent broadcast.
Sources indicate that Mukasa’s issues with his employers date back to King Saha’s concert at Hotel Africana, where he reportedly praised Bobi Wine on stage. He was issued his first warning letter soon after. His second warning came following a heated argument with David Kabanda, a key coordinator for Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s camp in Buganda.
With his future at NBS TV now uncertain, Mukasa may now have to fully immerse himself in politics to secure trust within NUP and strengthen his bid for the parliamentary seat.
