Though Uganda managed to scoop three Awards at the fifth annual All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) that went down in Accra, Ghana 2018, this time around it was a flop as all our nominees couldn't beat the enemy line thereby coming home not victorious.
Three Ugandans Bebe Cool, Sandrah Naknkoma and Irene Namatovu Lutaaya won the Best Male East African Artiste, Best Female Artiste in Africa Inspiration Music, and Best Artist, Duo or Group in African Traditional Award respectively in 2018 and this time around the story was different as our own musicians fell short to fellow African competitors.
The AFRIMA Awards night that took place on Sunday at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos, Nigeria hosted by Pearl Thusi and Eddie Kadi was highly dominated by Burna Boy, Nasty C, Stonebwoy, Nadia Nakai and Nadia Nakai among others.
