Struggling, up and coming singer, Sharon Nansamba has drapped renowned music producer Eno Beats to police, as he allegedly retracted a song she had recorded and produced, she claims he defrauded him with an aim of sabortaging her career.
Speaking out in an interview with Spark TV, Nansamba claimed that the song in question originated from a demo crafted by songwriter Saaka in Eno Beats' studio. Her manager, armed with all the necessary paperwork and documentation, purchased the rights to the song but to her surprise Eno Beats is claiming it.
Complications arose when Nansamba released the song along with its visuals, only for Eno Beats to resurface, claiming ownership despite not being part of the initial agreement with Saaka.
Speculating on the motive behind Eno Beats' sudden claim, Nansamba suggests the possibility of an established artist expressing interest in the track.
Nansamba and her manager then decided to pursue legal action against Eno Beats. They filed a case at Kawempe Police Station, accusing the producer of charges related to computer misuse.
In response, Eno Beats maintained that Nansamba and her manager failed to acquire the song correctly, insisting that a payment must be made for them to obtain full copyright to the contested track.
