As musicians under the Uganda National Musicians Federation keep arguing that they have never received any money, singers Carol Nantonto and Gravity Omutujju hve spilled the beans by revealing how over 70 Musicians received UGx 5Million each from Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja when she visited.
Speaking out in an interview on Galaxy FM, musicians Gravity Omutujju and Carol Nantongo revealed that Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja doled out Shs5 million to each musician after meeting them.
The two said that Nabbanja had come to the meeting to familiarise herself with the objectives of the Uganda National Musicians Federation and once she was there, musicians there cried prompting her to hand out cash to everyone.
Nantongo noted that of the about 70 people who attended that meeting, the vast majority of them weren’t musicians.
"She gave all 70 people money but I don't know where those people came from," said Nantongo.
