It was a fantastic Sunday evening 6th October at the Catholic University of East Africa in Nairobi, Kenya as talented Ugandan siblings Esther and Ezekiel Mutesasira proved their wrath by winning the $50,000 (UGX 184,090,000) East Africa's Got Talent top prize.

Forget about winning over on the hearts of fans across the East Africa and at inaugural TV series, the competition was Uganda's final to lose given the fact that we had three acts out of the final six finalists.

The Mutesasiras' electrifying performance during the finals of East Africa’s Got Talent helped them see off Kenya's young songbird Janell Tamara and Spellcast to bring the money home.

The finalists of the competition included Kenya’s young songbird Jannell Tamara and Spellcast, Rwandan cultural troupe Intayoberana and then Uganda’s Jehovah Shalom Acappella, DNA and Esther & Ezekiel.

East Africa's Got Talent is a talent show competition that is part of the Got Talent franchise owned by Simon Cowell and Season one was produced by South African film production company Rapid Blue,[3] simultaneously across four countries in East Africa; Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda.
