Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s twitter account was disabled by the internet giant after months of online battles leaving him accountless.
According to reports, it is not yet clear why Twitter made the decision considering that the army chief had not published content that violates Twitter Policy in past.
Before the account was expunged, Muhoozi tweeted, “To all revolutionaries, all fighters for truth, justice and an egalitarian world! I hear that some of us small voices for the billions of voiceless have been targeted by Big Tech for silencing. No worries! The undeniable truth of the oppressed masses shall always win!” the Commander of UPDF Land Forces tweeted.
By the time of removal, he had garnered over 540,000 followers making him one of the very few government officials with a huge following.
