KCCA FC Bows Out Of Uganda Cup After Loss to Bright Stars

It seems the return of Paul "Kiwa" Kiwanuka at the Bright Stars has started yielding results as his side ejected joint record winners KCCA FC in the round of 32 of Stanbic Uganda Uganda Cup.

Marvin Joseph Youngman scored for the Stars as early as in the 9th minute but the 10 time champions KCCA FC failed to level matters and exited the tournament at the second hurdle of the tournament, round of 32.

Speaking of the result, KCCA FC head coach Morley Byekwaso acknowledged lack of consistence in their playing, with on and off performance match after the other. On the other hand, speaking of if they anticippated winning against giants KCCA FC, Bright Stars' returnee coach admitted preparing for beating KCCA FC and that that gives them confidence to hisplayer when they return to the Star Times Uganda Premier League.

At MTN Omondi Stadium, home side Police FC advanced to the last 16 with a 1:0 win against Gadafi FC, Juma Balinya scored the much needed goal for the cops in the 65th minute after he pounced on a loose ball from six yards to tap home the Abdullah Mubiru side.

The Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32 fixtures continues today with 3 lined up on the menu, Mbarara City hosts URA FC at Kakyeeka Stadium, Kalongo United hosts defending Champions Vipers SC whilst Boma hosts Kajjansi United Fc at Masindi Stadium.
