Singer Jose Chameleone and his legal team have issued a cease and desist letter to journalist and TikToker Janie Namukasa, demanding that she retract false allegations she made against him, record an apology video and also pay him UGx. 100 Million.
Earlier this week, Namukasa shared a video on her social media platforms, claiming that Chameleone had fallen out with his close friend and caretaker, Juliet Zawedde. She further alleged that the Leone Island boss was not in the hospital as reported but was instead in prison following an altercation with Zawedde.
Upon coming across these accusations, Chameleone—who is currently hospitalized in the U.S.—responded via his social media, calling the claims baseless and untrue. He clarified that he had been readmitted to a hospital for medical treatment and was awaiting surgery after a sudden health complication.
However, Namukasa remained firm on her claims, challenging Chameleone to go live on TikTok to prove that his hospital updates were not pre-recorded. To silence the speculation, Chameleone went live alongside his younger brother, Pallaso, reaffirming that he was indeed receiving treatment.
Now, taking matters further, Chameleone has issued a legal demand requiring Namukasa to publicly apologize for tarnishing his reputation. His legal team has also ordered her to:
✅ Retract the defamatory statements
✅ Compensate him with UGX 100 million within five days
Failure to comply, the letter warns, will result in both civil and criminal proceedings against her.
