Despite looking unwilling to honor a rematch against Onduparaka Fc, KCCA FC turned up for the fixture today at Bombo Military Barracks Grounds and played a 1-all stalemate with West Nile side.

Dennis Iguma scored KCCA's goal in the 18th minute but the "Caterpillars" levelled matters through an own goal by KCCA FC defender Filbert Obenchen with seven minutes to end half time.

The match was a replay of a match played on 31st December, 2021 at Ababet Green Light Stadium in Arua that saw fights by Onduparaka fans who were against unconving officiation by the referee. The match was unended and therefore the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel decided to have it replayed at Bombo Military Barrack Grounds.

KCCA FC were defiant on the decision from the day of declaration of a rematch and appealed on 17th January with a hearing made two days later but the decision to have the match replayed stayed.

The point salvaged at the Arua side was not enough to oust Vipers at the table summit but only meant the Kasasiro Boys are a point adrift of the Venoms, level on matches played, 15.

The draw means Onduparaka have only one win in the last five matches, a 4:2 win against Tooro United, with three draws and a 2:0 loss to Busoga United.
