Mukono-based singer and self-proclaimed "Mukono Make," Mr. Phil, has made bold claims about his dominance in the local music scene as the only true artist as his nemesis Salongo Siraje should instead sing on school events in speech day.

During a press conference today, Mr. Phil declared himself the only authentic artist representing Mukono, dismissing fellow musician Salongo Siraje as a "speak day" artist—a term suggesting inconsistency or lack of seriousness in music.

“I am the only true artist from Mukono,” he stated confidently, adding that his dedication and growing discography set him apart from other artists in the region.

Mr. Phil, whose music blends Afrobeat with relatable themes, has been steadily building his career with songs like:

  • "Saba Nkuwe"
  • "Kampala Olemwa"
  • "Onjagadde Nyoo"
  • "Nsembeza"

These tracks, according to him, reflect his unique sound and vision for the music industry.

With aspirations of breaking into the national spotlight, he emphasized his ambition to elevate Mukono’s music scene to new heights.

While Mr. Phil didn’t shy away from addressing competition, his remarks about Salongo Siraje have already sparked discussions among fans and critics. Whether these comments will ignite a feud or friendly rivalry remains to be seen.

As Mr. Phil charts his musical journey, the coming months will reveal whether his bold claims translate into the success he envisions.
