Uganda Kobs played a 1-all draw with usual foe Tanzania in the on going CECAFA U-23 Championship at Bahir Dar city Stadium and hence exited the tournament.

Uganda will have themselves to blame for failure to win the match after they squandered their penalty opportunity when Steven Dese Mukwala failed to put the ball past Tanzania's goalkeeper Boniface Mnata Metacha from the12 yard spot in the 60th minute.

Uganda will play two other matches (classification matches) which determine who finishes 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. Uganda managed only two draws, didn't win and didn't lose.

Tanzania toppled the group with four points after they managed a win against DR Congo in their opening match and a draw against Uganda means they advance to the Semi Finals. The other semi finalists include Kenya, South Sudan and Burundi.

Tanzania face South Sudan and Kenya will play Burundi at the last four stage.
