It’s a seasons best for Joshua Cheptegei finishing 6th in 12.54.69 at the Florence Diamond League in the 5000m event.
Uganda’s Joshua Cheptegei on Thursday 10th June raced at the 3rd Wanda Diamond League Meet in Florence, Italy.
Joshua was attempting to break his own 5000m World Record at 12:35.36 set at the previous 2020 in Monaco.
Earlier, Winnie Nanyondo (Women’s 15000m) and Albert Chemutai (Men’s 3000m SC) are the other Ugandans to watch.
The 2021 Wanda Diamond League comprises of 14 meetings, the first commenced on 23rd May 2021 in Gateshead and the league ends in Zurich in September 2021.
