Band musician Ronald Mayinja has opened up on why he dumped MP Bobi Wine and his opposition National Unity Platform Party (NUP) confessing utmost support for President Museveni and the NRM ruling government. He claims he made the tough decision for financial motives since he is no longer a politician but a musician.

In a twist of events, singer Ronald Mayinja composed "Akalulu" song in which he praises incumbent, President Yoweri Museveni on his achievements for the country.

Though the "Africa" singer has of the past released political hit songs criticizing the ruling NRM government, Mayinja after reportedly pocketing millions of money officially crossed over to NRM thereby composing a campaign song for President Museveni where he assured him of victory in the upcoming general elections since there is no way a military man can be defeated by a Ragga maffin.

During a radio interview with Bukedde FM's Omunene Womukibuga Simo, Mayinja revealed how he decided to dump NUP and active politics after learning that he wasn't contesting for any political seat.

He said that he decided to concentrate on his music career and welcomes music offers from any political party so long as they fulfill his demands.

"When I learned that I wasn't going into active politics, I decided to concentrate fully on my music career and I'm open to offers from all political parties to sing for them so long as they fulfill my demands. I'm no longer a member of NUP and my political belief remains personal. I'm a musician who is ready to hustle for a living from my talent so as to match politicians who earn monthly allowances," said Ronald Mayinja.
