Onyango and Ochaya's clubs learn their opponents in CAF Champions league quarter finials.

The quarter final draws of the CAF Champions league and league and CAF confederation cup were held on Wednesday 5th February 2020 in the capital of Egypt Cairo, the Headquarters of Africa's football governing body CAF.

Uganda's duo of Dennis Onyango and Joseph Ochaya who ply their trade for Mamelodi Sundowns and TP Mazembe respectively learnt their opponents in the draws conducted at 8PM in the Egyptian capital.

Onyango's side, champions of 2016 tournament will take on eight time and record champions Al Ahly of Egypt whereas Ochaya's side TP Mazembe and five time champions will take on Morocco's Raja Casablanca.

Mamelodi Sundowns became South Africa's first side to finish the group matches unbeaten after four wins and two draws in the six group C matches with 14 points. The last side to go past the group stages unbeaten was Esperance in 2019, they went on to win the trophy against Wydad Casablanca.
They (Mamelodi) take on Al Ahly, a side that finished runners up in group B behind table leaders and one time winners Etoile du sahel of Tunisia.

Joseph Ochaya's TP Mazembe was the other side to finish the group matches unbeaten with four wins and two draws in group A. They will take on Morocco's Raja Casablanca who finished second in group D. Despite finishing second, the Moroccan side were level on points (11) with eventual table winners ES Tunis from Tunisia but only separated by goal difference (4:2).

Uganda's forward Joel Madondo's club Wydad Casablanca, last year's losing finalist will hustle it out with group B winners Etoile Du Sahel, the Tunisian side won four and lost two in the group matches.

For the first time this year, all quarter finalists have ever won this title. Still to note, for the first time in history, the tournament's final will have a single match unlike in the past when the finals were played on a home and away basis. The final will be played on 29th May 2020.

African Champions League quarter-finals draw:

Al Ahly (Egypt) v Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa).

Raja Casablanca (Morocco) v TP Mazembe (DR Congo).

Zamalek (Egypt) v Esperance (reigning champions Tunisia).

Wydad Casablanca (Morocco) v Etoile du Sahel (Tunisia).


African Champions League semi-finals draw:

Raja Casablanca/TP Mazembe v Zamalek/Esperance.

Wydad Casablanca/Etoile du Sahel v Al Ahly/Mamelodi Sundowns.

Confederation Cup draw:

Zanaco (Zambia) v Pyramids (Egypt).

Al Nasr (Libya) v Hasania Agadir (Morocco).

Al Masry (Egypt) v RS Berkane (Morocco).

Enyimba (Nigeria) v Horoya AC (Guinea).
