Following several unsuccessful attempts, finally celebrated events emcee and TV personality Edwin Katamba alias MC Kats finally on Sunday 19th January managed to escape from rehab and sought solace at Pastor Wilson Bugembe's church.
Its almost a week ever since the NBSafter5 appealing health condition forced his family to send him into rehab at ARS medical facility, Bukoto, Kampala city where he has been for the last couple of days but under a 24hour surveillance after the later threatened to commit suicide following failed attempts to escape back home.
According to MC Kats, his living conditions in rehab weren't appeasing at all for a celebrity figure like him mention poor feeding, denying him access to his children, having no specialised medical attention apart from swallowing his ARVS and pneumonia medicine as he has been doing while at home in addition to being monitored indoors 24/7 as if he is really that mad and as his family, friends and relatives claim.
Narrating the whole ordeal on how he managed to beat the rehab security to escape, Kats has showed the bruises and cuts he has sustained while overcoming the security fence to regain what he calls his 'personal freedom'.
While feasting on a good meal upon reaching Pastor Wilson Bugembe's church, MC Kats has also narrated how he was wrongly hijacked by his family into rehab claiming that he is mad and needed counselling and guidance from specialised personnel so as to get back to normalcy.
Kats mum had paid over shs 4million at the rehab center to take care of his worrying health status as an HIV/AIDS positive patient but he believes giving his soul to Christ by turning Born Again at Pastor Wilson Bugembe's church will aide his quick recovery from the too much depression.
"They claim I deserved being in the rehab because I am mad but the fact is that I am normal and not mad at all. My names are Edwin Katamba alias MC Kats, an employee of NBS TV.
If I was mad, I would have escaped back to the bar and joinined my good friends Bebe Cool, Bobi Wine and Jose Chameleone. But I have chosen the church because I know Born Agains aren't mad!" MC Kats.
