2018 has been labeled as a year of blessings in disguise as far as the Ugandan music industry is concerned though negatively being affected by the loss of one of the big guns, singer, songwriter and instrumentalist Mowzey Radio to mention but positively a new crop up of talented and promising female musicians have taken the lion’s share as far as winning revelers’ hearts.

As we eagerly wait for the Bebe Cool list of top performers, here is a list of top ten Ugandan female top guns in the music industry 2018 whose tremendous effort has enabled them paralyze partiers with some fantastic projects hence wrapping up the year in style.

Below is the list of the top 10 female musicians 2018:

1.Vinka
Swangz Avenue’s Veronica Nakiyingi Luggya aka has been the biggest revelation of the year 2018 among the female musicians given her complex background as a dancer before becoming an artistes’ manager, little did she know that she could try another step in her career as a musician. From a number of hit songs Stylo, Nkubika, Chips Na Ketchup, Omukwano Gwo, Sweet Love, Love Doctor, Malaika, Tubikole, Mapozi to mention, you will definitely agree with me that Vinka has been the top hit of the year 2018.

2. Spice Diana
She is the female music personality who even the late singer, songwriter and instrumentalist Mowzey Radio had predicted to take over the industry this year by storm and with no surprise, Spice Hajjara Namukwaya has not disappointed attaining a sky rocketing music career maneuvering through hard times to the pinnacle without bruises with hit songs like; Sente Zakamezza, Ekyeejo, Now, Nasimatuka Ex, Twebereremu, Ndi Mu Love among those never to erase from revelers’ minds.

3. Sheebah Karungi
The Team No Sleep’s sensational vocalist has for the best two years manned the local music industry like storm and many will wonder why she is my third priority among the best Ugandan female musicians who have been a hit in the industry going on to have a successful music concert dubbed ‘omwooyo’ but the fact that it was obvious that she could not disappoint, her year has just been fantastic and lit as expected.

4. Fille
Leaving aside the hide and seek love games that have been ongoing between songbird Fille Mutoni and hubby Emcee Kats reaching to the extent of dropping him as his music manager in favor of going solo, the Kabale Mukiga has had a good year recording a queue of hit songs that are still earning her recognition among the top female musicians 2018.

5. Chosen Becky
Every day that emerges there is a new artiste that crops up with not only good music and a good voice but also some thick financial backing and the suspect in the queue to mention is none other than Chosen Becky who has taken revelers by storm with her on point lyrics. Starting on a high pitch with first release Byabangi, Chosen has proved to revelers in the industry that she is not yet to give us a break by dropping a series of hit bangers like Bankuza, Byabangi, Byonkola, Aliba ani, among others no wonder she is taking the industry by storm.

6. Lydia Jasmine
Lydia Jasmine has proved beyond doubt that she is no longer an upcoming artiste and has really made the Ugandan airwaves with hot music hits and in addition to being good at fashion and beauty no wonder she is making the list.

7. Winnie Nwagi
Swangz Avenue singer Winnie Nwagi is still standing and she has made it onto this list even though some people might not agree, her song called Fire Dancer with Slim Prince has been one of the most played club bangers in the country., Her hit song Mataala is also taking her more places.

8. Rema Namakula
From putting up a effort to record a successful live concert ‘Banyabo’ that continued to cement the fact that the fiancée to the BET Award winner is an established artiste to reckon, Rema Namkula has not disappointed 2018 with a number of hit songs rocking her fan base and the music stores notably Banyabo and Touch my Body taking the lion’s share.

9. Nina Roz
Nina Akakunda aka Nina Rose is another fast rising artiste wrapping up the industry by storm given her formidable energy in hustling with music to prove that she deserves to be a fans’ darling. The talented singer, song writer and model has proved critics wrong that it’s her own effort making headlines in the industry going on drop some formidable hit songs mention Omuliro and Olumya Bano that have enabled her wind up the year in style.

Apart from music, Irene Namatovu has done the country proud by representing our own cultural heritage to the extent of scooping the Best Traditional Artiste act with her 2017 ‘Kuzaala Kujagaana’ hit song no wonder she deserves a standing ovation by not missing out on this list.
