Uganda's Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among, made a special visit to the Vatican that has everyone talking. For the first time, she revealed her adorable set of twins to His Holiness Pope Francis, children she shares with Eng. Moses Magogo.
Among had kept their faces hidden from the public eye since their birth. But yesterday afternoon, during an intimate audience with Pope Francis at the Vatican Palace, the proud mother finally introduced her little ones to the world—well, to the Pope at least!
These twin bundles of joy, set to celebrate their first birthday this October, received a blessing from the highest spiritual leader in the Catholic Church. Can you imagine the blessing vibes?
Her journey to the Vatican wasn’t just about family though. Following her meeting with the Pope, Among sat down with His Eminence Pietro Parolin, the Vatican's Secretary of State, to discuss ways to strengthen Uganda's relations with the Holy See. Diplomatic ties? Check. Blessed babies? Double check!
It's worth remembering that this isn’t the first time Among has sought divine intervention. Before the twins were born, she had another private audience with Pope Francis, seeking prayers and blessings for a safe pregnancy. And guess what? Her prayers were answered in the form of two healthy and absolutely beautiful babies.
