Netizens were left in shock after reports surfaced that singer Betty Mpologoma’s own sister, fellow artist Phoebe Nassolo, had been thrown behind bars over allegations of stealing their mother’s cows.
According to claims, Phoebe allegedly sold the cows and pocketed all the money, causing a family fallout so intense that it left their mother hospitalized in shock. The news first broke through politician Yiga Kisa Kyamukama, a close friend of Phoebe, who visited her in prison and revealed details of the incident.
However, Phoebe insists that the real reason for her arrest had nothing to do with the cows but rather a secret rivalry over a man. She claimed that Betty Mpologoma tried to snatch her soldier boyfriend, despite already being married to renowned producer, writer, and singer Dr. Tee.

In response to the accusations, Betty Mpologoma confirmed that her sister was indeed in jail but distanced herself from being solely responsible for the arrest. She clarified that the decision was a collective one made by the family after Phoebe’s actions allegedly distressed their mother.
“I’m not the one behind it; it’s a family matter. We are very many, but because I’m the popular one, people think it’s just me. Everything concerning my mother involves us all as a family. We had to take action because she caused our mother a lot of distress,” Mpologoma stated.
She further accused Yiga Kisa Kyamukama of spreading propaganda in an attempt to tarnish her reputation.
Phoebe Nassolo is currently being held at Kanoni Prison in Gomba as the family feud continues to unfold.
