Lunabe Entertainment singer, Lil Pazo has found himself in hot water with the family of the late Kato Lubwama over his latest release, “Irena Weee,” citing copyright infringement and striking off from YouTube.

The controversy erupted after John Segawa and Conrad Lubwama accused Lil Pazo of plagiarizing Kato Lubwama’s iconic song “Kilabe Ebiiso” without permission. The family’s frustration culminated in a formal notice threatening legal action unless Pazo deletes the song and seeks proper authorization.

The notice further demanded that Lil Pazo pay a staggering Shs300 million, alongside other unspecified penalties. Pazo, however, insists he has not received any formal communication regarding the lawsuit.

In an exclusive interview with Sanyuka TV, Lil Pazo defended his creative process, asserting that he used a reggae beat originally by the late Lucky Dube, infusing it with Luganda lyrics. He maintains that this does not constitute a copyright violation.
