Renowned media personality Faiza Fabz, along with several others, found themselves remanded to Luzira Prison. Their participation in the anti-corruption campaign, #March2Parliament, has stirred quite the buzz across the nation.

The campaign saw a significant number of Ugandans taking to the streets of Kampala to voice their frustration over rampant corruption among government officials. The streets, however, quickly became a hotspot for tension as a heavy police presence was deployed to manage the demonstrators.

Among the many protestors, Faiza Fabz, the beloved KFM and NTV Uganda presenter, was apprehended along with her colleagues and taken to Jinja Road Police Station. The group was later charged in court for being a common nuisance, as well as for idle and disorderly conduct.

The news of Faiza's arrest spread like wildfire, captivating audiences who are used to seeing her charismatic presence on airwaves, not behind bars. The #March2Parliament campaign has highlighted the intense public discontent with corruption, and Faiza's involvement has added a celebrity spotlight to the cause.

Faiza and her co-accused have been remanded to Luzira Prison and are scheduled to appear in court on July 30, 2024. As the nation waits with bated breath, this incident underscores the growing demand for accountability and transparency within Uganda's political landscape.
