Mr. Ssenyonyi's latest triumph comes as he commemorates his first 100 days in the distinguished role of Leader of Opposition, succeeding Mathias Mpuuga after his tenure of two and a half years. Joel, already holding two Bachelor Degrees in Law and Business Statistics, has once again proven his dedication to scholarly pursuits.
His journey to this milestone has been nothing short of inspiring. Transitioning from a career in journalism at UBC and NTV to becoming the spokesperson of the National Unity Platform (NUP), Uganda's foremost opposition party, and eventually assuming a legislative role in Parliament, Joel epitomizes the values of consistency and integrity.
Messages of congratulations have poured in from various quarters, with the Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda, Anita Among, extending her well wishes via social media.
"Let’s congratulate Joel Ssenyonyi, the Honourable Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, on obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice. We look forward to benefiting from your expertise in our legislative work!" tweeted Speaker Among.
Accompanied by his wife, Febress Nagawa Ssenyonyi, and his mother, Joel Ssenyonyi embraced this significant milestone surrounded by loved ones.
When I did the Law Degree, I found it to be quite engaging, but the Bar Course/Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Law Development Center (LDC) was even more intense.

But I thank God that the consuming 9 months ended successfully.
