UNEB Releases 2024 PLE Results, Here’s How to Check with Just Your Phone

The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has today officially released the 2024 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results on Thursday, January 23, 2025, bringing clarity to the academic futures of thousands of candidates across the country. Here's how to check yours.

How to Access the Results

Candidates, parents, and schools can retrieve results through the following platforms:

1. SMS Service

   • Type PLE, leave a space, and enter the full index number of the candidate.
   • Send the message to 6600 across all telecom networks.

   Example: To check results for index number 003301/368, type PLE 003301/368 and send to 6600.

2. Online Access
   Results will also be available online. However, UNEB has yet to provide an official link for this service.
3. Live Streaming
   The release event will be streamed live on the UNEB and Ministry of Education and Sports social media platforms starting at 11:00 a.m.
4. School Portals and Physical Copies
   Schools will access results through their official UNEB portals. Printed copies of the results will be distributed to District, City, and Municipal Inspectors of Schools for collection.

According to UNEB, there has been a noticeable improvement in the performance of candidates compared to 2023. The enhanced results highlight the collective effort of students, teachers, and parents in achieving academic excellence.

The 2024 PLE recorded a 6.6% increase in registered candidates, with a total of 798,771 students compared to 749,254 in 2023.
