During an event at the Kololo Independence grounds, rapper Gravity Omutujju made a heartfelt plea to His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, seeking his contribution to the construction of a NUP hospital in Busabala at Bobi Wine's One Love Beach.
Earlier this week, Gravity Omutujju found himself embroiled in a war of words with fellow musician Bobi Wine after the latter criticized the government's stimulus funds for musicians.
Seizing the moment, Omutujju challenged Bobi Wine to donate a portion of his vast land at One Love Beach, Busabala, for the construction of a much-needed hospital if he truly cared about the welfare of the people.
In a gesture that blended symbolism with sincerity, Gravity Omutujju delivered two bags of cement and a truckload of sand to Bobi Wine's One Love Beach on Wednesday. This move, akin to a mock fulfillment of his promise, underscored Omutujju's commitment to his vision of a hospital in Busabala.
During his speech to President Museveni, Gravity Omutujju revealed that he already possesses one acre of land in Busabala and has contributed building materials towards the cause.
He passionately begged President Museveni to extend his support, emphasizing the urgency of saving pregnant women in Busabala from the burden of traveling long distances to Kiruddu Hospital for treatment.
