Rapper Fik Fameica, a Kawempe homegrown musician has come out and set the record straight to the people of Kawempe to stop accusing him of abandoning them, he says he is neither their MP nor did he promise them better roads once they support his singing career.

In an interview with Galaxy TV, Shafik Walukaga, addressed the people of Kawempe directly, asserting that he is not vying for the title of Member of Parliament.

Despite his deep connection to the area, Fameica emphasized that he is not under any obligation to legislate on behalf of those who didn't cast their votes in his favor.

This clarification comes in response to sentiments from the Kawempe community, suggesting that Fameica may have overlooked them in the wake of his skyrocketing fame. The artist responded by shedding light on the personal nature of his journey, highlighting that he ventured into the music industry independently, without external support.

Addressing the misconceptions head-on, the artist urged the community to refrain from claiming his success as their own and to understand that his contributions operate on an individual level when it comes to assisting others.
