Singer Big Eye Starboss has come out and defended himself from all the critism that came with a photo of him sunk in a plate of food during Eddy Kenzo’s brother Monday Hassan's funeral that went viral online with people branding him "Funeral Eater."
According to the singer, the photo was misinterpreted by netizens as he never intended to hurt anyone.
Mande Kiwalabye Hassan was laid to rest in Nkoowe on Saturday 22nd October 2022 after succumbing to head injuries reportedly sustained in a fight.
While at the funeral, a photo of Big Eye Starboss sinking his fingers into a plate full of rice was taken and immediately circulated on social media showing him sitted next to the sorrowful Kenzo who is seen wiping tears away from his eyes.
"To everyone who is criticizing this photo were I was eating food while Kenzo was crying on our brother Monday’s funeral. It’s the time for you to know that its kenzo him self who insisted two times and asked me to eat which its not bad.
“Big Eye soka olye blood” because the next session was gona be for prayers and moving straight to the burial place and it was time for eating where everybody was eating apart from him who wasn’t feeling like eating.
He knew that I had not eaten yet because am not good at eating and I was there since the day our brother died. And for that I want to thank my brother Eddy Kenzo for always caring about me even when situations are hard.
