General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces and son of President Yoweri Museveni, has made a quick return to X (formerly Twitter) just six days after announcing his departure from the platform, he has come back with tough orders.

On January 10, Muhoozi deactivated his X account, leaving followers with a farewell message. He cited the “instructions and blessings of my Lord Jesus Christ” as his reason for stepping away, stating his intention to focus on his responsibilities with the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF).

The announcement came as a surprise to many, given Muhoozi’s active and often controversial presence on the platform. Known for his satirical, bold, and sometimes contentious remarks, his posts have frequently made headlines and sparked debates.

His return has been marked by excitement and curiosity, with many wondering what prompted the change of heart. In his comeback tweet, Muhoozi shared:

"I’m back.."

While his brief absence fueled speculation, it’s clear that the general’s voice on X remains influential and highly followed.
