Rolex Initiative Launches 'Rolex Festival Jinja Edition', Promises a Never Seen Before Show

The first ever Jinja Edition of Rolex Festival has officially been launched with a press conference by the Rolex Initiative down in Jinja on 7th December 2019. 

The Rolex Festival Jinja Edition has been launched officially in front of the media and sponsors who turned up at Pit Stop Sports Lounge Jinja  as hosted by the CEO Rolex Festival, Enid Mirembe, media personalities Jonathan Nalebo and DJ Nimrod among other sponsors like Coca Cola, Uganda Police Force, The Uganda Tourism Board, Africell, Humble Management and others.

The first edition of Rolex Festival in Jinja is going to be hosted by DJ Nimrod and BABA Media Group personality Alfa Tymz.

According to Enid, after a successful event that was held on 18th August, 2019 at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala, the organizing team then decided that it is now time to start going regional and Jinja, the birth town of Rolex was chosen to be the first regional stop.

The event is slated to take place on 7th December at Dam Water, Jinja at an entrance fee of UGx5k for Kids, UGx10k for Adults and UGx 20k VIP. Among the activities expected to take place include; Entertainment, games, raffle draws, competitions on the best Rolex stall, music performances and the best celebrity cookouts.

The Rolex is a popular food in Uganda that combines an omelette and mainly vegetables rolled in a chapati. Given that it is quick to prepare, a Rolex can be eaten at any time of the day, be it breakfast, lunch, supper, or snack.

The popular food event is a brainchild of Enid Mirembe, Miss Tourism Busoga 2015/16, and was awarded ‘Food Event of the Year’ at the 2019 Ekkula Pearl of Africa Tourism Awards.
