Following two successive losses in the tournament, Masaza cup reigning champions Buddu have named former Gomba Saza FC coach Ibrahim Kirya as their new head coach.
Buddu recently parted company with former Uganda Cranes midfielder coach Steven Bogere who guided them to both Masaza Cup triumps in 2016 and the most recent 2021 edition who finals were played in March 2022.
Buddu have lost in their last two matches, losing 2:1 to both Buluuli and most recently against Kyadondo with group leaders Singo who have got four wins in as many matches up next on their fixtures schedule.
Buddu currently stand third on a six team log in group one with only four points from a possible 12, with a draw against Mawogola in their opener and their only win coming against Buvuma.
Their new coach Ibrahim Kirya is well versed with the tournament having previously coached record holders Gomba (5) and has coached Uganda Premier League side Sc Villa, former Uganda Premier League outfits Lweza FC and Mbarara city.
