One of Uganda's top female movie stars, Nana Kagga brutally embarassed herself after spilling her own dark secrets live on stage very drunk at the Uganda Film Festival Awards Gala held at the Institute of Information and Communications Technology in Nakawa.
Nana Kagga had come on stage to pick her accolade she had won for the Best Actress Feature Film and at first, her laughter was perceived as joy, but when she started talking, the audience started whispering.
“She is drunk… she has taken too much of it,” people started murmuring.
“Someone come zip me up, I had just gone to the loos and…,” Nana said, before continuing: “Halima Namakula is my agemate. She claims she is in her 60s, I dispute that. I am 45 years, how come?” which left everyone shocked.
Nana was guided away from the stage, but when she came back to receive another accolade for Nalwawo, which won Best Indigenous Film, she was forced to go off stage after she started hinting at people’s faults, claiming that people were telling her that she was drunk.
