Ugandan singer Mayanja Ibrahim, popularly known as Big Eye StarBoss, has officially declared his intention to contest for the Nansana Municipality Member of Parliament (MP) seat in the upcoming 2026 general elections.
The announcement comes just two days after the singer hinted at his political ambitions, citing influence from National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi, widely known as Bobi Wine.
Taking to his social media pages, Big Eye StarBoss reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of Nansana, expressing his readiness to lead from 2026 to 2031 if elected.
"The voice of the people is the voice of God. When my president Robert Kyagulanyi, HE Bobi Wine, speaks, it is a command. Nansana Municipality, your dedicated servant for the 2026-2031 term is here. Together, we will build a stronger future."
The singer further emphasized his vision for a better Nansana Municipality, promising to focus on development and empowerment.
In a show of sportsmanship, Big Eye StarBoss extended well wishes to his fellow contenders in the race, calling for a fair and healthy competition ahead.
