KCCA FC and Vipers SC Win to Keep Uganda Premiere League Title Race Alive

Match day 22 saw two matches played in the Star Times Uganda Premier with both KCCA FC and Vipers SC edging past UPDF FC and Mbarara City respectively.

At Bombo military barracks grounds, home side UPDF FC fell to a 3:0 loss to thirteen time Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC with Sadat Anaku and Brian Ahebwa scoring as Isaac Okello scored in his own net to hand KCCA FC a well deserved win.

At St. Mary’s stadium in Kitende, Allan Kayiwa was named man of the match as table leaders Vipers SC continued their stay at the table summit with a 2:0 wrought of visitors Mbarara City FC.

Yiga Najib scored the opening goal in the 45th minute with Milton Kariisa adding the second in the 69th to seal a well deserved win that kept the Venoms at the table summit with 52 points. The Venoms are currently seven points above second placed KCCA FC who 45 points.

Action in Uganda Premier League continues on Wednesday 6th April with 14th placed side Bright Stars hosting Busoga United in 11th position and Gaddafi FC will be making a long trip to Arua for a clash against Arua Hill FC.
