Funeral rites reader, Godrey Jjemba, commonly known as 'Omugenzi' on social media has finally been unmasked after people finding his true identity, however he claims that he's scared for his life.
Godrey Jjemba Matte is the man who has made a name from reading announcements on burials and vigils. He is a farmer from Kyerima in Kayunga district.
Jjemba is concerned about his safety. His concern is about identity exposure which might trigger the Police or the Government to carry him away and get tortured.
Jjemba explained his fear of getting famous while appearing on a local TV Station.
“I don’t know why I have trended. I’m scared on the side of the government. I don’t know what will follow, because many people are telling me I’m on social media. They may track me down and arrest me and take me in a car then drive me to someplace I don’t know,” He stated with fear.
