Reports claim that Ugandan comedian MC Easy Dee, real name Kabuye Davis died while cursing fellow comedian Reign (Lubega Obedi) of the famous Maulana and Reign comedy duo for stealing his medical funds.
According to the family, MC Easy Dee who has been working with Godi Godi succumbed to throat cancer on last Friday August, 20th 2021.
Before his death, Kabuye reportedly narrated to his close relatives how the artist cum comedian (Reign) had decided against delivering the monetary contribution that had been sent through him from the well wishers in the diaspora so as to ascertain advanced medical attention in Kenya.
Having been diagnosed with cancer at the Cancer Institution Mulago, MC Easy Dee's situation got worse afterwords and was still in a fundraising drive from well wishers to help contribute to his medication bill worth UGX25m so as to go to Kenya for another the surgery.
Unfortunately, before he lost the battle, Easy Dee had learned how comedian Reign had embezzled his financial help from a well wisher in the diaspora and failed to deliver it to him.
However during an exclusive interview with a local TV station in town, Comedian Reign has come out in self defence by conceding to the fact that though he received shs180000 from the diaspora to cater for MC Easy Dee's medication, sadly, he lacked a National ID so as to process the money through money gram.
Reign says he was now thinking of breaking his bank accounts so as to deliver the said aide to a brother.
MC Easy Dee was one of the fast rising comedians performing at Alex Muhangi’s Comedy Store stage and left behind 2 children and a wife.
